Dutch specifics we plan to handle

Postcodes

Four digits and two letters, such as 1011 AB, used together with the house number.

House number parts

Number, letter and addition (for example 12 A or 12-3), which the register stores separately.

Locality and municipality

The register distinguishes the locality (woonplaats) from the municipality (gemeente).

Messy input

Abbreviations, typos and missing parts are repaired and scored, as described on the pricing page.

When the free national service is enough

PDOK Locatieserver is a free national service and is well suited to lookups limited to the Netherlands. Consider Addrova when you need one API for several European countries, a contract, stored results under a clear licence, repair of messy addresses or batch files.

Netherlands questions

When will the Netherlands be available?

It is planned in the first European wave, after France. There is no date yet.

Do I have to credit the BAG?

The licence is CC0 1.0, which requires no attribution. Addrova still names the source in every response.
