Addrova documentation
Addrova geocodes, reverse geocodes, autocompletes and repairs addresses across Europe, on official open data. The service is in pre-launch: the production URL https://api.addrova.eu is not live yet, and everything below describes the API as specified.
Start here
- Quickstart: your first request in curl, Python and JavaScript.
- API reference: every endpoint, parameter and response, generated from the OpenAPI specification (
docs/openapi.yaml, version 1.0.0). - SDK (Python, TypeScript) and MCP server: client libraries and AI assistant tools.
- Migrate from Google and migrate from Nominatim: change the base URL, keep your client.
- Compatibility details: what the Google and Nominatim modes support.
Good to know
- Authentication. Send your key in the
X-API-Keyheader, or as a bearer token. The compatibility routes also accept it as akeyquery parameter, for drop-in compatibility. - Privacy. Prefer
POST /v1/geocode: the address then never appears in a URL. See compliance for what is and is not logged. - Attribution. Every search response has an
attributionarray. Display it next to the results, as the data licences require. - Errors follow RFC 9457 problem details with a stable
code.
