SDK for Python and TypeScript

Two official client libraries wrap the API: one for Python and one for TypeScript and JavaScript. Both follow the same rules:

  • Typed methods for geocode, reverse, autocomplete, repair, usage, coverage and batch files.
  • The API key is read from the ADDROVA_API_KEY environment variable by default.
  • Automatic retries on 429 rate_limited, 5xx errors and network errors, honouring Retry-After, with exponential backoff. A batch upload is never replayed after a server error, because it is not idempotent.
  • Typed errors that carry the status, the stable code and the request id, and never the address you sent.
  • geocode sends the address in the body of a POST, never in the URL, and the libraries log no address.

Distribution. The libraries are proprietary and are not published on PyPI or npm yet: you install them from the repository. [À VÉRIFIER : publication sur PyPI et npm]

Nothing in the API requires an SDK. The quickstart shows the same calls with curl, Python and JavaScript over plain HTTP.
